4. On 27th December 2018, the
decision of implementing the 7th pay commission was approved by Maharashtra
government in a cabinet meeting.
5. Retired
bureaucrat KP Bakshi committee had prepared a report regarding the
implementation of 7th Pay Commission for government employees.
6. The government has
decided to implement the 7th pay commission retrospectively from January 1,
2016 .

Implementation date is 01 Jan 2019, It means it’s a big loss to state employees
on account of Allowances.
8. The average pay increase
has been 23% in the 7th Pay Commission at par with CG employees.
9. The employees will
get the hiked salaries in the month of February 2019.
10. By 7th CPC implementation, Class IV employees will get a hike of around Rs 4,000-Rs 5,000, Class III staffers will get Rs 5,000-Rs 8,000 more, while the Class II grade and Class I officers will get an increase between Rs 9,000-Rs 14,000.

11. Employees
will get the arrears of the last three years in five instalments.
12. The outstanding amount
will be credited to the employee's provident fund.
13. About 17 lakh employees including those working in Zilla Parishads (ZPs),
aided-schools and 7 lakh
pensioners will get the benefit of 7th CPC.
14. It will cost Rs. 21,530
crore additional burden on the state government.
15. Reason
for Delay in Decision of 7th CPC implementation was 2019 Lok Sabha
Election.
